I know ich is white spots, but have no idea what these black spots are. They were not there the other day. Does anyone have any idea what these are and should I be worried?

Thanks

Mine use to get them from time to time. I haven't noticed them in a while. I think it started when she started hosting my frogspawn so maybe the coral was irritating her. I don't think they're anything to worry about though.

I do have a hammer he swims near. I'm gonna go with that. Thanks for the reply!

They most likely will faid again soon . I've seen my clowns get them from hosting an anemone for the first time while there still getting used to it , so id imagine the same could be true of a hammer or possibly something else.

Pretty sure they're sting marks. Mine used to get them until they got settled into a host. They went away.

My first thought would be stings from hosting but as a precautionary I would do some research on black ick if they increase.

I concur that it's sting marks.

"Black Ich" is a turbillarian worm, and it would show up as a black bump.

Panic averted! The spots have disappeared. Thanks for everyone's comments.
