This will be my first post as a member of ARC!!!! My wife and I are new to the saltwater aquarium world, but have been involved in the underwater world for quite a while as you can see from our wedding picture that I use as my avatar.

First Question: Can two different species of Clown Fish live together in our 90gal world? I see a could iffy comments about the Maroon. Any other suggestions?

By the way, 90galguy is apparently my new name given to me by Jenn!!!

Here's my mated pair. Both were introduced to the tank at the same time. They paired up immediately.

ive seen many examples of mixed color clowns if they are ocellaris or percs in 30 gallon or less aquariums even...but im not sure ive ever seen anything else mix successfully...probably because everything else can get much larger?..id hate to see a 5 inch male tomato trying to mate with a 2 inch perc :)

I think I've decided on a pair of Black Ice (S'more Occ). This way I can have the black colored ones I like and my wife can still have the orange colors she wants. Anyone see any issues with these as far as being aggressive towards each other of anything else in the DT? I will get a pair of them along with an anemone. How about a suggestion for one of these?

ive got a 30 gallon with a pair of b&w ocellaris...they were peaceful until i added a gbta...now the female charges and nips anything that comes close to it...in a larger tank like yours you shouldnt have any problems

Thanks for the info! If you check my number of posts you will see I have a total of 4! What the heck is a GBTA????? Acronyms will be the death of me!!! Heck I just figured out what LFS was! :)

lol yeah ive only been in the hobby for a year and still have trouble with them...gbta = green bubble-tip anemone...rbta = rose bubble-tip anemone
my clowns basically live in my gbta and are very protective of it...they were very peaceful until they had this territory to protect...i still consider them peaceful but they do NOT like it when other fish come into their gbta area
