Yes, these are the same species, so you have nothing to worry about.

I think it is better to introduce them as different sizes right? This way, the bigger one will always be female. If you introduce at similar size, the two might fight for dominance.

They will probable fight regardless but just IME, I've had better luck with similar sizes. I maybe wrong...

Yes. Different sizes always worked better for me. There will always be some conflict when trying to pair 2 clowns to see which one is dominant, but when they are unequal size that determination occurs faster when one clown is clearly out matched in size vs. near equal competitors.

Now how long that conflict lasts varies by a lot of factors ... species and age being the biggest. Maroons are by far the hardest to pair. Percs, occs & clarkii are on the easiest side of the spectrum. Young clowns are easier than older clowns. Just my experience ...

I've had three pairs in the past decade, and I've always chosen the smallest and biggest from a tank. From day one the bigger one would charge at the smaller one, and the small one would just turn to the side, give up and start twitching. The small one never puts up a fight, so they never get into any serious conflicts. I've had my current pair for 4 years now, and the small one almost doesn't grow at all. The female is 3 times the male's size now.

I've never had a pair of similar size, so I can't comment on how they would interact. I do know that different sizes have worked great for me for tomato and ocellaris clowns.
