So I cam home from work and saw that my clowns were guarding this rock with extreme aggression, so I took a closer look. To my surprise they spawned!:yay:
I had been hoping they would do the dance.
The guy I got them from said they had spawned about every two weeks, well I've had them for a year and this is their first time since I've had them.
Anyway I want to try to rear the fry. Can anyone tell what the easiest, less loss way to do it?

There is no easy, less loss way to raise clowns. It takes a lot of effort and care so be sure you really want to do this. If you want to proceed, you should read through some of the Breeding Logs in the Breeder Forum to see what others have done. If you still want to do it after reading those then I would highly recommend getting Joyce Wilkerson's "Clownfishes" book.

They generally spawn every ten days once they start so you don't need to rush into it.

I did a little research. I'm going to set up a ten gallon tank with water out the DT, I started a batch of live brine shrimp today, so hopefully they will be ready by time the fry are ready to hatch. The book I'm reading says I have to wait till the night just before they hatch to move them to the hatching tank. I have a sponge filter to put in the tank and a small light so they can see to hunt. I hope everything goes smoothly, although I do expect to have some losses but nothing too great. (fingers crossed)

If this is successful, I'm going to give the first 10 clowns away. So that will be a pair of clowns for 5 people.
I will keep a update on my progress.

Could you post some sort of journal on this, maybe with pics? Sounds interesting.
