Clownless nem?

Quick question:

I traded out our maroon clown in hopes of getting a pair of (hopefully picassos) clowns in our tank instead. She's been hosting a GBTA for about six months. Is there a time frame for which I should get new clowns? I'm thinking the nem is fine without a clown as long as I continue to feed it. Am I thinking correctly?

You really don't need to feed it but it's fun to anyway.

Well, I've been feeding it anyhow. I'm ready for it to split! It's purdy big.

And you plan on giving me the split half so my B&W will host a nem. they don't seem to interested in the Frogspawn i have in there.
