I have my lighting schedule setup backwards because I work second shift and would never see my tanks otherwise so my lights come on around 8 pm on weekdays 10 on weekends and off after 8 hours but tonight when I got home my clownfish looked lifeless not swimming or signs of breathing. ????? I freaked grabbed test kits started checking water looked at temps felt water. Everything seemed norm

I grab my container to scoop him up for inspection and he swims away and everything is normal. I have seeny fish sleep or so I thought but never to the point of floating in the top of water column and barely swimming. Think I should be concerned? Otherwise fish seems fine even ate when I fed him

My guess is he is fine but if it were me, I would keep a close eye on him for the next day or two.

My little maroon does that resting on rocks ALL the time. He's a lazy little bugger.

Clowns are weird. If you google their strange behavior you'll get endless results. It's probably fine, but you should still do what Mr. Nelson says and just keep your eyes peeled.

Yah I will watch him it just threw me for a loop cause ive had several pair and none of my other ones have ever displayed that kind of behavior. Thanks guys

My clowns are often doing that when I get up in the morning. Looks exactly like they're in their final stages. Drives me nuts.

Clowns...:thwak:

My male clown loves to burry himself deep inside the RBTA and lay there without moving. The first time I saw him I was sure he was gone and the nem was about to have a nice meal. Even now, there are times I have to get up and check to see if he is still alive. LOL
