Consequences of wet skimming

Just upgraded my nano skimmer to a AquaC Remora and it's skimming pretty wet even at high cup positions (light color and lots of it, but tons of floating junk and nasty smelling:thumbs: ). Since it's only 28 gallons I don't want to throw my SG off. I'm monitoring closely but haven't noticed any changes. What possible issues should I keep an eye out for while skimming really wet?

It just takes out more nutirents. How long has the new skimmer been running? It may just be breaking in.

It's definantly in break-in. I just put it on Sunday. I was shocked to see an inch of skimmate on Monday and I rushed to check all my parameters...LOL.

I would just check my SG once a week. Just make sure its staying in a good range. Your gonna have a slight drop but nothing I would be concerded about if you doing regular water changes...
