Has anyone tried continuum Mg for bryopsis ? Kevin at the now/new Fish Store (BTW check out the work he has done. He has done a beautiful job. ) say its made by the guy who used to run TechM.

Any experience ?

I just started carrying it. Yes it is indeed made by Jack Kent, whose former company, Kent Marine, developed Tech-M.

Jack sold Kent Marine to Central Garden & Pet some years ago, and he recently started up Continuum.

Haven't tried it for Bryopsis, but it's reasonable to think that if the Tech M works, that the Continuum product will too.

I can get it, but I'm phasing out Kent in favour of Continuum. Kent isn't what it was since Jack sold the company (IMO).

I'm in the process of using it right now for bryopsis. It's been a few weeks, and I've needed to get my MG +1500, but it looks like it's FINALLY starting to work.

No. Chris Brightwell was the R&D guy for Kent when the company was in Acworth (before Jack sold it).

Chris was my customer when he lived in Holly Springs (one exit south of me!) After Kent was sold to Central, he went off to do his own thing. By then he'd moved out of state.

I heard somewhere that Brightwell was Jack's way of getting around the non-compete contract.

That was a rumor as far as I know, I heard it too. Wouldn't make sense for him to come up with yet another line if that was the case. ::shrug:: Chris is up north (PA, I believe), Jack is in FL.

I can't speak to anything more of that, since I don't know.
