Copepods or something else...

Today I turned my tank on to a sparkling clean system and glass...except.

I have all of these white/opaque little lice like creatures running on my glass. I assume they are copepods but I wanted to run by our knowledgeable members to make sure it isn't some kind of pest.

What say ye' ARC?

Yes, assuming they disappear shortly after lights on.

I can't get god pics with my phone. They definitely crawl/scatter around but they stayed on the glass when the lights were on.

That is a possibility. It is a newly set up tank, around 3-4 months I'd guess. Only fish are 2 small clowns and I never see them bothering the pods on the glass.

I am thinking about taking a magnet and scraping them down into the sand so they will scurry on towards the rocks.

Don't worry about moving them around towards the rocks/sand. They're eating the algae on the glass. Leave them be.

Yeah, I thought about that after I got to looking at them for a while. I figured they would eventually head on somewhere else.
