If live rock is in a tank treated with copper. Is there a way to remove the copper from the rock, so it can be used in another system?
My 75 fowlr has been treated with coppersafe. I have bought a 220 and I am wanting to take the fowlr tank down. My reef will transfer into the 220. There is a lot if nice rock in the fowlr that I would like to use. 130#.

Was thinking pol filters along with cuprisorb, and ROx 0.8 carbon. Testing weekly for copper. And running the remover for a month or so.

Drying and washing the rock is an option. I have read that an acidic solution will allow any copper to become free from the rock allowing it to be washed off.

Any suggestions. Or is it just to risky. It has been about 4 months since the tank was dosedn
