I just added live rock and rearranged everything... is it possible that my copperband went on autopilot and sideswiped some rock?:1244:

Or, is it "Whitney Houston We Have a Problem"?

Possibly, but watch for infection. How long have you had the fish?

These guys seem very prone to infections, IME.

I've had him for a couple weeks... it's only him, a pretty big red serpent star, a couple rock anemonies, a couple gregorian corals (or is it gorgonian or gargoylian), a couple kenya trees and tiny brains...

...but no aptaisia!!! :D

Little guy's eating big time.... even took food out of my hand this morning!

I talked with Mike (the guy who is going to be handling a bunch of the maintenance) and he mentioned some garlic and metrocityzine (or something like that) could be a good idea.

We're adding a light from heaven on Tuesday morning.

Metronidazole - yes that might help, or even Neomycin (Brand name Neoplex by Seachem). Either of these mixed with some Seachem Focus in the food might help prevent infection, or nip it in the bud if infection is brewing.

Garlic will mask the taste of the meds, as well as boost the immune system. Either way, it won't hurt, that's for sure, and the fact that he's eating well is a good thing.

That's good news, Brett.

Jenn, I followed your instructions with the food, garlic juice, focus and metro cycle scene. I've got it freezing in the ziploc. I also fed the guy... he ate a lot as usual.

I also had a chance to inspect him more closely when I got back to the salon. There's no red present. So if nothing else, we've caught whatever it is early. He's started scraping his right side against the rock a bit.

Would a cleaner shrimp be of any benefit?

I Just noticed some tiny blotches forming. That can't be good.

"Don't Panic" in large, friendly letters...

ROFL Metro Cycle Scene??

I thought you bought NeoPlex with the Focus - not Metronidazole?

Keep feeding with the medicated food - it's really about all you can do unless you opt to rip the tank apart to get him out to try a dip or quarantine etc.

I'm not even sure anymore! LOL!

I've got brown capsules, yellow powder, white powder, tiny spoons, a ziploc bag, garlic and frozen stuff.

I'm going to end up on the news! "Weird Meth Lab Ezplodes in Marietta"

Dunno about the capsules, but the powders with spoons came from me ;) I'm fairly positive it's Neoplex (Neomycin). I'll double check when I get to work.

Jenn

Now I'm lost... the stuff you got from me is just in powdered form, not in capsules.
