anyone have any good suggestions on books to buy that can help me decide which corals i want???

i'm looking for something that has both a ton of pictures....and all the requirements. i'm going for mostly beginner corals.

Julian Sprung: Corals: A Quick Reference Guide.

I have it in stock. I used to take it shopping with me when I was a hobbyist (not a LFS worker/owner)... easy to look up a given coral and see what it is, what it needs, where it should be placed, what it eats, how aggressive and how hardy it is, all in an easy to read format.

is it a mini encyclopedia so to speak? sounds cool! i was thinking about stopping by your store next weekend anyways.

Its a cool little book because it has a brief description and illustrations on where you would find it on the typical reef. So it helps out greatly with not only deciding on which corals to purchase but also where to place them in terms of lighting requirements and water flow needs. It is definatly a book that has rereading value to it.

It's a fairly large book - not super-thick, but it's not "mini" like the Pocket Guide to Marine Fishes.
