Have folks purchased any coral from the prevelant sellers on eBay? If so, what has been the experience?

Thanks.

I buy all the time and know most of the large sellers, be weary tho if it looks inhanced or edited it 9 out of 10 times is....

I use reef pets on eBay a lot. Stuff comes in well and he will fix problems

I've used eBay a time or 2 and have had good results so far. However most of the time I try to buy local from sponsors/members.

I can usually get up to Atlanta at least one day a week but sometimes its impossible but a lot of sponsors will ship relatively cheap

Some things he has listed now is what lead to my question, but generally I have seen stuff from some of the other folks in the pst as well.

Edit:

If you end up ordering from him let me know I would probably be willing to split shipping with you depend when you ordered.

I ordered from goldenbasket8 with Dave and was not all that impressed with the items I received. I believe he takes the pictures from the top and as we all know, many corals look amazing from the top and a little less awesome through the front glass. I dont think the pics were photoshopped, just taken from an optimum angle and/or macro shots with 20k lighting, which I don't have. I don't fault the seller, I just should have been more cautious on what I bought. Great prices if you use your head, however.

I've bought from reef_pets from eBay before. He was very concise in his discription and size of the frags. Kept updated as to what was going on until he got everything shipped. And the frags were what I was expecting, all is good.

And the fact that his auction has no reserve rocks too. I won a few very nice items at 2.99
