This has been on my rock for some time. When i first bought the rock the skeleton was pink. It died , or so i thought this thing has now made a new head and i need to know whet it is. It has a red fleshy part covering the top of the skeleton and clear tentacles with white tips. Its stings, and has stung me. It closes up at night like my other corals but the flesh over the skeleton is still visible. Also it has a mouth. If any more description is necessary just ask.

I think it's not the coral coming back, or even a coral at all. I think they are anemones, strawberry anemones to be exact.

See the similarities in the tentacles? What I believe you have are just juveniles. Google image search "strawberry anemone". They are cool for a species only/anemone tank, I've wanted a strawberry nano for a while... But you don't want them in the DT.

I had something similar growing which I noticed all my fish and critters avoided , even the aptasia eating peppermint shrimp , I thought it may be a juvenile like this but another member told me they were no bueno last week when I saw it in his tank so I blasted it , but if it had a red foot like this one in the photo it would of been a tuff decision.

you want it? lol

Nah, but they will move so if you want it out go ahead and yank the rock. It's just not a good time for me to set up another nano

I broke the coral skeleton it was hosting in. So its gone.

Edit:
