I have this rock that is knobby but over all flat 12" diameter. 8+" off the sand bed. I have a spongodes (sp) and a lime green encrusting monti doing real good in this location. Rock is directly under the 150 DE MH. I want to put the Purple Haze, Sun Set, Superman and Girl Monti's down from the frag rack soon to this rock. I want the rock to have a patch work of encrusting Monti coral. So here is the point of my ramble,

Will this work out in general?

I was wondering will the corals fight as they grow into each other?

Thanks,

Scott

Cool man, Good luck with that collection. I think the idea will make an awsome looking rock when it grows out. Thank you for the info.

Any other success with a mix of monti's like this?

If they are all monti's they should all grow into each other without ill effects. I have seen several different types grown together. I think it was a pokerstar and sunset growing together. I have also seen where people have fragged caps of different colors and glued them in a plug and when they grew together it looked like a checkerboard.
