i just got 2 ricordeas and was wondering where in the tank i should place them. i currently have them in the sand and the green one is doing great but the orange has turned tan in color and is starting to close up. i also have a frogspawn that i have placed about 8" from the top of the tank and it was doing good but now it wont open up as much as it used to. any ideas on a better place to put these corals?

I keep mine like 3/4 of the way down on a rock I think they like to attach to something

Edit: also the frogspawn I keep around the same place it doesnt need that much light

I keep my rics about 30" below my 250W MH and they do fine. Frogspawn I have them way at the bottom and up on top and they both do well. I think they can tolerate a good amount of light but they don't like much flow. What's the flow over your frogspawn?

the flow is not strong around the frogspawn at all. i think im gonna go off becca and check my params and today is water change day anyways so i think i can do what is needed for it today
