I want some nice colors in my tank but would not know where to start... I would like to get names, suggestions on how to recognize healthy items and price range...

thanks,

A great place to start when looking for different corals is here:

You can look at different corals and care specs for each. Be weary about impulse buys, do your research and then go find the best specimen you can find. As for health, look at overall color, skin/tissue, and polyp extension. And remember that even though a coral may be brown, doesn't mean its not healthy. I have had many a SPS or zoas that was brown at first and morphed into a beautiful specimen.

Thank for the advise y'all.

I'm off to the toy store. I'll post some pictures later.

Okay folks... I've got me a couple of Clowns, one bubble tip anemone and 1 yellow watchman goby. I can't take a clear picture of the clowns, but I'll make an effort today and post some pics later. (It took me a long time to get things running last night after I came from Tim's...

One thing to get things rolling...Tim suggested that I put a picture of a clown pairing with an anemone and that will make my clowns hit it with it. They are, so far, not too close to each other (The clowns with the Buble tip) and I just don't want to have made that purchase for no reason... Is there anything anyone is tried to help te anemones match their clowns?

Float them in a colander together with the nem and float it in the tank.

The anemone has attached to a rock and I'd hate to remove it. It took a beating coming from the fish store and it had completely shrunk until I put it in the tank. Is there any other way?

I actually used a veggie clip that looks like a clown and placed it next to my nem and it works...the clowns and my carpet nem love each like there no tomorrow.

Give it some time. Your clowns will find it and host over time. Sometimes they wont host at all. It just depends really.

Okay Y'all...I commend all of you who thought that placing a picture of a fish in front of the clowns will get them to host the anemone... Here is a picture of as soon as they arrived home, the night after, and this afternoon (about 18 hours after I placed the pictures of other clowns hosting anemones)

In case the pics did not post in the previous post...here they go
