As we all have found out, real estate in a reef tank is sacred and many of you have a lot of experience .
Please tell us what corals can be placed together without going ballistic on each other?

So we know hammers and frogspawn won't kill each other but what can be placed closest to them?

Nems, what can they not stinng if anything? Acans? Elagance coral?

Montis will encrust pretty much everything but is there anything that will keep it contained?

What do you successfully keep next to each other in your tank?

I have a good size hammer, RBTA and torch all in the same area and they leave each other alone.

my BTA just took up residence next to a favia, no stinging has occurred yet but i plan on moving the favia today

IME, they will not "sting" each other, but more often than not the paly will shade out the zoa

I had a hammer fall up against a very nice green birdsnest colony killing the birdsnest in very short order. :-(

I have had a BGM chalice eat half of another chalice then an acan go after some zoas. stupid pushy hermits

Some good tips here.

Thanks! Read that but I was thinking more in terms of actual practice and with commonly used names. You know for noobies like me.
