Coralife 250 watt hqi double ended ballast help!?!

Anyone have experience with these things? Makes noise but isnt lighting the bulb. Everything other then that ballast works the 2 others no prob..I need some help please!!!??

Did you try a different bulb on the troubled ballast?

There switchable so the trouble ballast lights no bulbs in fixture other ballasts light all bulbs. First thing I tried

I just don't know enough about electricity or how ballasts are wired to know if I should try an open box and see what's what.

Sounds as if the ignitor is gone.

With out opening it up there is no way to tell and as you have stated you are not comfortable with it so I do not by any means recommend it. If you want to bring them to my house I will take a look at them.

Yeah my ignorance in electricity is extreme and I just survived a hobby related ordeal as is. Where are you located?
