I've learned my lesson on this, assuming the first 3 skimmers I purchased were crap. I mean, they probably were, but I didn't give them chance non the less

OK...I cut the tube shorter....brought the pump up about 2 inches and BUBBLES....Im such an idiot lol

Thanks all

The Coralife skimmer is actually a very good skimmer (I have one) but can be a bit finicky. The water level is the first key point. The second key is evaporation and stability. If you are using a sump which does not keep a constant water level and fluctuates due to evaporation, you will never be able to dial in your skimmer. I do not know your situation so I am just throwing out these points.

well I ad water daily...once I pt in the 15 gallon fuge my water evap will be even less evident....

Even a drop of .25 of an inch can drastically affect the Coralife skimmer. My sump has a section that does not allow the water to drop even though the other chambers may. Before I set up my new sump, I went through heck trying to set up the skimmer and really looking back, it was probably only working at 45-55% efficiency. I had a lot of trouble with building up skimmate and had to run mine very wet for it to do it's job correctly which it only would do until evaporation affected it. Trying not to ramble...just been through it and know it's frustrating.

An ATO would help a lot with this skimmer IMO. I don't have one but i've heard good reports from people that run these:
