I just read something about all/certain corals that shed? What is this process like? And do all corals go through this.

Corals shed?
You happen to have the link to that?

I'm def no expert, but that sounds weird to me.
Corals do not produce any exoskeleton that would require shedding...

I just want to know if xenia shed? And if so what does it norammly look like?

sorry, mine always melt after a week. I havnt researched xenia at all.

Well mine looks like its melting and has blister like things on it. It looked like that a few weeks ago then came alive and spread to three rocks so. Has a mind of its own.

I've never seen a xenia shed, although they do seem to go dormant </em>for short periods. Leathers will sometimes shrivel and look to have a glassy shiney surface. They will slough off the transparent top layer and yes, it is thought that it's part of the growth process.

Wait WHAT?? My kenya tree lost it's top, and now all it has is the stem, was it shedding?? Oh, I hope it was.

My leathers shed once every couple weeks. They look miserable for a couple days, than poof, larger and happier than before!

Radha post pics on your on thread you thread burglar. Jk. That sounds more like the tree service got it all wrong or something.

Ha ha! Good one! Fine, I will be that way. You are just jealous because someone as popular as me has come around and blessed your thread. OOOOHHHH, need some lotion for that burn?
