I located a great thread posted by Flordiaboy704 on this site.

Location:
Newmembers + Hitchhikers Guide for reef tanks.

I have at least 4 “Rock Crabs” (picture seen at the above location) in my 75 gal tank. They came in in the groves on some live rock.

The info said that it will eat anything it can get it’s hands on. Does that include corals and fish?

How do I remove them from the tank or should I simply leave them alone. Currently I have nothing in the tank. I’m waiting about 2 more weeks for my cycle to complete. I plan on stocking the tank with small peaceful small fish and corals in the future.

they will kill any fish they can grab. dont now about the corals. kill them or catch them i threw all 4 i got out my tank in the wet/dry

All 4 of them just look plain mean so grabbing them with my hands ain't gonna happen. To make a bad situation worse, the only time you may get a glimpse of them is at night.

I'm all ears as to how to remove them from the tank.

Place a tall glass with some bait (stinky fish food) in there with the lip of the glass against the live rock. Glass standing upright. The crabs will jump into the glass to take the bait but they cannot swim or climb out.

Then decide what to do with 'em once you've caught 'em.
