This is your canvas: 54 gallons. Un-drilled. Lights, filtration, etc. to be purchased depending upon set-up.

Bearing in mind that this would be done little by little, what masterpiece would you create?

Option #2 ~ sell the dang thing before you sink too much $$$ into it.

LOL... Sell it and use the money to seek addiction treatment!!!

No reef tank of course... Lighting in a corner tank is always a challange but buy my HOB overflow, put a sump/fuge on it. If you are setting it up over the course of 6 months or so, I think it would be cool to make your own LR, just to say you did it... 1 250 W halide and some T-5s around the edge. A 2400 GPH CL system... Done!!!!

It would make an awesome freshwater planted tank. I love those tanks almost as much as a reef tank... not nearly as expensive either. Past that, I might try a mantis tank or possibly a FOWLR.

Couldn't have said it better Brandon, However being the light lover I am I would go with 400watt all the way! Also like Cameron said a planted tank with a bunch of Discus in it.

I don't think I would keep anything SPS or LPS in the tank. I might try softies, but I would just avoid the lighting problem all together by putting up a tank that didn't need much light.

well you would have to drill it. Buy a nice light, and there is no overflow box. It is nice but i would reccomend something else.

but then you'ld have to make a tight fitting lod for that tank....that wont be fun. I'm an acro lover so I'ld say find a lumeric reflector (sp?) and slap a 250 with some actinics running long side and be done. that will be more than enough light to put whatever you want in there, unless you go with softies, then thats way more light than whats needed.

Live rock on either straight side and one a http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~WV1113.html">Wave 2K</a> in the corner to make for surge front-to-back.

As a matter of fact, this has me thinking ... :)

I have wanted to see one of those in action for a while... If you get one, you gotta let me come check it out...

tell you what: buy it for me and, I'll give you visitation rights

:)

You guys have no imagination. I think it would make the worlds biggest ant farm. Or better yet, a great serving piece for jungle juice (lots of colorful fruit pieces).

I did see some nice pictures of a corner tank reef. I liked it because the rock was pushed into the back for the coral but left lots of room in front for viewing the fishes.

I would think a better use would be the worlds largest martini glass! Now how would one rig up a good low GPH pump with a straw?

a margarita would make more sense... on the rocks, of course (not frozen) ... salt (creep) on the rim...

:)

I'm giving serious consideration to putting one in my 60 cube. However I need to explore them more. 1 corner unit is supposedly "medium" flow and 2 is high, but 1 back unit is high flow for a 120, but costs less than 1 corner unit. The pricing is really whacked on the corner units vs. the back units.

I just had a little birdy tell me that there has been some problems with these. They are made locally which is nice but a few design flaws.

can you elaborate?

(pm would be okay)

Wait a sec... talking about the tank? or the corner-flow-wave-maker-thingie? (technical term)
