To this day, one of the nicest reefs I've seen was a 92gal corner tank...

...ofcourse Simon has that 300gal sump under it to help :)

The word YOUR implies belonging to you.

I didn't say I didn't want the tank. Believe I was clear when I said I didn't want to buy it!

Which, I suppose could have meant I hoped the guy had a change of heart and gave it to me for free but more likely I was hoping YOU were gonna pay for it :D .

Ah... okay

T'was for <u>me</u> to pay. Gotcha.

(Guess what threw me off was you saying "bid-with-my-Ebay-account")

It would be completely hilarious if those two didn't talk to each other IRL, but only via PM and email. Kind of like the couple in True Stories (the husband played by Spalding Gray).

Linda Lee;55880 wrote: can you elaborate?

(pm would be okay)

Wait a sec... talking about the tank? or the corner-flow-wave-maker-thingie? (technical term)

I was talking about the corner-flow-wave-maker-thingie

Make it a reef. Because the front displace is so large that it don't need alot of rocks to make it look nice. And you only need 1 hqi pendant to light the darn thing! Man don't even let me get started on the flow.

LMAO!!!!! Me and Jenn need to hash out or stuff like this on the boards!!!!

BTW: Loren, I think most here would agree, your wife likes tanks, you buy her whatever she wants. Talk to some of the people whos wifes HATE tanks and spending anything for it is like trying to pay the pope for sex... Believe me, keep the wife interested in tanks and your hobby will me more enjoyable in the end!

I am luck that Jenn is active in the ARC and "likes" tanks too....

Okay, here's the interesting twist....

It was me.

I saw a co-worker's tank where I work and it was love at first site with the hobby. I wanted to do a nano in my office. I wasn't ARC then, so my friend (thanks, Brad) posted this thread, to which some of you responded:

http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4423">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4423</a>

So..... I was first into this. Loren just kinda hijacked the hobby.

Not that I mind. (Especially if he buys a 54 gallon tank from time to time... and all those pretty corals he got @ the meeting Tuesday night.)

Percocet is finally kickin' in.

G'nite all...

Ya I did not respond tot that thread! LOL.... ;)

Serously, it is a blessing when the whole family is into the tank and loves it... I do not really need to hide expense... She tests the water which I LOVE and we plan out our tanks together... It is awsome!!! He does not know how lucky he is!!! ;)

I've seen one in action. They do look cool. Did your birdie elaborate as to what the flaws were? These things are really expensive but when you do the math, you're getting essentially 3000-4000 gph very gentle water movement for under $300.

Xyzpdq0121;56178 wrote: PM to george...

can I be privvy to that PM? 'Cuz the online reviews of this thing sure seemed pretty good (save for one that said his was a bit noisy).

I would consider one of this wave-maker-flow-thingies, too. Expense would seem to be warranted if one would replace 3-4 powerheads cluttering up a 54 gal tank.

<span style="font-size: 11px;">[Unless, of course, a decision is made to plant that aquarium for FW... which I doubt will happen since someone I know has been completely seduced by the SW addiction.......]</span>

Responding to the other Loren..............

The really funny part is our computers are right next to each other not 6 " apart:D .

I text her to let her know that I just responded to a post.

She I'ms me to let me know she got my text.

Talking just raises the ambient teperature!

We also have a NASCAR pitboard style thing for when shes in the next room.
