cree LED vs 2xt5 54w

I have an aquactinics constellation 7xt5 fixture that I am thinking of modding.

There are 3 switches... each of which controls a T5 trio or pair of lamps.

I am thinking of taking one of the switches offline, which controls 2xt5 in the middle of the fixture, and replacing each of the t5 lamps with 12 cree leds.


To avoid any electrical complications the LEDs will be running through a RLK and ALC.

QUESTION IS.... will 24 leds = the output of 2x54w t5s or will I be loosing something. The blues will be running at a dialed in 750ma... I forgot what the whites will be running at.

The ratio is 15 RB to 8 white

the reflectors are of excellent quality. I have 60d optics, but didn't even use them on last setup.

IF one were to use optics on all CREE LEDs I wouldn't matter a hill of beans what kinda reflector you use

I may just replace ONE lamp in the fixture with the led strip... at the point I KNOW I've stepped it up
