Crimson red stuff

I have some crimson red patches on my live rock and was wondering what it could be? I will post some pics when I get home this evening.

Is it slimy? If so cyano. If it's hard it could be coraline that's just a different shade.

Looks hard and not slimy. I was thinking(hoping) its coralline algae.

I have lots of that type of coraline. As long as its not slimy youre good

Use a turkey baster and try to blow it off, if it comes off it's cyno-if not it is a red coraline and that is great. Coraline comes in a lot of different colors. Holley
