Hello! I've purchased about 80lbs of live rock from an old member who was getting rid of his set up. He had it outside in the sun for about 6 months just drying out. Some of the pieces I would like to use on the 220 I'm working on. If I wanted to use it again what would be the best way to make it live again? I've was told I could just put it in salt water with a pump and let it run. Would this pump actually need to filter the water or just blow air circulation through it? Would I want to add bacteria chemicals to the water to help this process? Thanks for any help ahead of time~! More questions to come as I get deeper into this exciting new tank!!

I'm sure there's more interesting videos explaining the process. But, I like BRS videos so here's the link.

I also recently cycled dead rock back live with saltwater, stability and a few pieces of liverock from my tank but beware it smelled like a dead body was in my house so if you plan to do so place it outside
