Agreed, any particular places to pick up aquarium safe?

Most of the LFS carries it.

Jess- for as much money you are going to have in livestock, don't take the risk with the silicone. A few extra bucks on aquarium silicone is worth the peace of mind, at a minimum. It may be the same thing, but for $10, who cares?

lowes and home depot both have aquarium safe silicon, its by DAP. petsmart and petco both carry the silicon as well, just ask for it, HD and lowes won't know what you are talking about, you have to look where all the glue and adhesives are. thats where i found it.

I have no idea how i had any left. I used quite a bit so i was sure i had it securely on the tank sides.

We read almost all of the tubes that didn't have that anti microbe seal on them. None of them mentioned aquarium safe. I didn't pay much attention at petsmart. We'll track down a store with some that say aquarium safe. I have to take some stuff back to HD anyhow, so I'll get my money back for other stuff.
