I am in the process of cycling my 20g QT and have a question about the Seachem Multi test kt.
I have a 20g long tank with AC50 filter and matrix. I have the temp set to 80 and have a small piece of live rock and live sand in there.
My question is I have been dosing the tank with 4 mil of ammonia daily, similar to how I cycled my fresh water. Nitrates and Nitrites are currently off the charts which is fine but I cannot get a reading on free ammonia. Total Ammonia is off the charts but free never registers. Is this normal? I would expect to see a reading 30 minutes after I have dosed.
