What do you mean 2nd time? Like you have dosed ammonia twice?
I would imagine you would see a slight raise with nitrites after adding more since the bacteria havnt caught up yet. Still its a pretty low level, maybe wait a few days and see if it lowers more. You would be fine adding some tester coral. I know the coral do not care about nitrites, but i always waited for fish. Its toxic to them.

Don't add any more ammonia. The nitrite part can take FOREVER.
Feel free to do a water change at this point as well.

If you are using most common bacteria cycling supplements it can take 3-6 weeks.
The only thing I have used which works more quickly is FritzZyme #9. Which works in about a week to 10 days. Or, their TurboStart, which is faster, but must be ordered directly via online.

My ammonia is 0 but my nitrite is 0.50 so I’m waiting for those to convert then gonna do a water change, problem is I’m impatient and my bf has his 9g set up with coral and anemone and like 3 little fish and I want mine to be done lolIf you are using most common bacteria cycling supplements it can take 3-6 weeks.

You should have just grabbed a little of his sand/filter media and called it a day.
We got cycled filter media from the fish store, so we both have it in our tanks, his is going through the ugly algae stage. But I’ll do a water change tomorrow. I have saltwater mixing for overnight
