Cycling My New Tank - Fishless Cycle

You can get it on Amazon:
ref=sr_ph

Best to buy it in conjunction with something else so you can get free shipping on it. I got mine when I purchased the Dr.Tims One and Only Nitrifying bacteria.

On another note, the SeaChem Ammonia Alert that I got to test out has not registered any Ammonia since I have had it in the tank. It is well past the 2 or so days that the instructions said it would take to saturate the test strip. Either I just got a bad one, or these things are a gimmick.

Well, I have been slacking on updating this thread...lol The tank is fully cycled. It took around 3.5 weeks for the tank to get to the point where it could process 3 ppm ammonia in ~24 hours. I went through almost an entire 4 oz. bottle of ammonium chloride, as I was having to add 1.5-2 times the amount it stated in order to get ammonia levels up to 3 ppm.

I am looking to start adding some CUC members in the next week or two. Will post further updates in my build thread.
