cycling question

I know there are a couple threads going around about this but didnt wannt hijack any of them...i just finished cycling a tank..at least i think i did..i used seachem stability and now ammonia nitrites and nitrates are 0...i forget what the next step is...im just now beginning to see diatoms...do i do a 20 percent water change...do i put in my media basket and chemipure, purigen, filter floss, etc...do i put my skimmer in yet

To be serious, yes to all. To be honest, I did all that the day I started my cycle.
 
lol ok thanks...my diatom bloom is very timy right now and i didnt know if the stability and the media basic, skimmer etc would hinder this or if that would even be a bad thing

Well When I cycled my cube I didn't even get a diatom bloom, I used all cured LF and new LS. Was your rock cured or uncured?
 
the rock was cured but the sand wasnt...but ive also been using seachem stability since day 1..its like day 14 i think right now
 
You've only been cycling for 2 weeks so I would give it another week to do a WC but I would hook the skimmer up and let it break in and start cleaning though. I've never used stability myself so I wouldn't be able to help you there.
