First I like to thank Chris at Einstein's. Always a pleasure to drive up there and see him and his store. His mom is awesome too :)

Well, after a long day, first finals at 12:30p and sleeping till 11:30p with a drive that is about 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic.. And then a drive to Einstein's, then a drive to Stone Mountian Nissan... now home and my new toy, the Vortech MP40w ES is in the tank and running.. took all of.... 5 minutes to install.

will come... after my camera's battery charges back up... meanwhile, i'll be on CoD MW2 :D
 
I had a couple of MP40W with the Icecap battery backup. What is the difference with the ES designation? The only gripe I had was that when you shut down the units to do a water change since they would be high and dry you had to re-set the night mode since it doesn't have a clock memory. I had called the company and they confirmed that to be the case with no fix in the works.
 
had? as in you don't anymore?

well i don't mind it as i never drain that much water from the tank anyway... besides if i didn't i wouldn't care... it gives it a chance to arriate(spel?) the water very well and what not... The ES is the EcoSmart feature. it adds a few more modes that can be used. I got this model with the intention of getting another if i ever upgraded to a larger tank... which i will, eventually
 
OMG I'm old school apparently had to google this and man that is a toy alright!Im guessing with the tag comes tons of perks.
 
yea. some perks. i still think they are over priced but i decided to jump in since i have a mp10 on my 25gallon but that was used. couldn't find an mp40 used though. BUT.. i am happy with it so far. my tank looks.... "cleaner" though it was the surface that was the dirtiest lol but i main got this for aesthetics and its easier to keep an eye on it when the nem comes close it.. plus it comes with a foam filter :D

now i find out that my beloved angel fish has its lower fins being nipped at by something, but i don't know what. I have two clowns, indigo dottyback (which is kept in line by the angel), midas blenny, watchman goby/pistol, 2 porcelain crabs and i had a bi color but it jump a few days ago :(
 
Corey, kilo32 is a new GA resident who sold off a system before moving here from FL.

But truly I just popped in to say that the title under your avatar must be wrong.... broke people don't get new MP40s!
 
ahh, ok, i must of missed that thread.. lol

and yes broke people can get mp40 when they save for a month and a half :D

PLUS!!! When you buy a new mp40... I promptly returned to the status of... BROKE!!! lmao


now i have to save for:
1. new car stereo (front and rear speakers plus 4-ch amp to power them and all wiring)
2. 2 ATOs
3. new TV to beat Dr. N at MW2
 
haha, that is just the top 3 at the moment.. i have the right to change it when i please lol

besides i may move the ATO up to one and the sound to 1.5 :) i just need rear to sound good in the car but i am planning on building a custom fit speaker box for the trunk to house the 2 10s i am running currently, plus i have a 15 i want to put in there for the fun of it, and this box will hold both amps on the outside and have connection that are easy to get too
 
Oh My brother just got a bass its 2 10" in subs. They box is curing right now, cant wait !

Kirru, I have some car stereo stuff I was planning on selling or trading. I'll let it go cheap, or (considering my recent tank crash) would trade for frags. I have MB Quart Reference 6.5" and a Clarion Sirius/CD/Mp3 storage head unit (DXZ845). It's certainly not the newest in head unit technology, but it's always been great for me! Has a remote control somewhere around here for when you get too lazy to reach out 15"!
 
Aw man, i saw your thread. that really suxs too. I can probably come up with a few frags.. but most of my stuff is srill frag itself. PM me and I'll come up with a list of what I have... also, before we get to indepth, can you get product links to the speakers and the head unit? gots to look at specs lol mostly for the head unit.. not sure if the speakers will fit the rear but i can find out.
