Hello all, I decided to de - rim my biocube on this peaceful Saturday. Just finished up and it only took me around 1 1/2 hours. Despite all the negative comments and people saying it took them 3 hours +, I have to say that was one of the easiest DIY (If you consider this a diy project) I I have ever done. Made the cuts, and cut the silicone and and I was done! Before:

I've wanted to do the same but scared of it "bowing" then rupturing... I don't know if that's possible though...

I was worried about the same thing but I think the most dangerous part is removing the rim haha. Filled it back up with water, so far so good. Not bowing. I think because it's one complete piece instead of multiple pieces and it's s size it should be safe. Looks 10x better imo.

Going to need a bit larger pic to really get a feel for how it looks. :shades: Appears it cleaned up pretty decent.

Yeah my phone either makes the pictures way too big or small. I'll put another up when I get home! I like the way it turned out though!!

So as it turns out, the last little bit of silicone is pretty frustrating to remove. Any suggestions besides razer blading the heck out of it? Here's the tank today
