My dendro is eating a snail!! Should I try to remove it from its mouth, or let it play out?

Iv got nothing for ya . My issue is usually getting mine to eat.
I guess it was gaping its mouth open and the snail got to close and slipped in ??
Iv never even seen a snail on mine.
If it was mine and I could grab it with tweezers I would.
Good luck , let me know how it turns out

Too late...no more snail. Mouth is closed and polyps are extended so I'm not too worried.

I was really worried about my brain coral eatng a bunch of larger grain sand once after i turned my powerhead up way too high. It expelled it all

You have a happy Dendro !!
I wish mine would cheer up it hasn't extended more than 20-25% of its polyp's since tha incident with the phosguard.
Iv been shooting reef snow and aminos down its mouth 3x a week I tried putting mysis in its mouth , nothing gets a reaction , but its faired this long I think it will pull through.

Haha...maybe I can train a clownfish to do it. My female loves knocking snails off the glass, shouldn't be too hard.

In my experience dendro a are pretty dang hardy. I'm sure it'll come around eventually. When I first got mine it didn't open for a month or so.

It started to spit it out but then changed its mind. You can kind of still see it under the flesh.

That's what I figured. They're actually about 8 or so inches away. The angle of the pic is just kind of weird

Thanks. You can see there's about four more of those stupid tiny snails on the ledge above just waiting to be the next meal...
