Hey guys, I have a merlin ro unit rated at 720 GPD. It doesn't have a DI filter on it though, so I'm looking to add on in there to make the water even cleaner. The only question I have is how do I determine which DI filter I need or which one will work with my RO unit. My main concern is the DI filter will not be able to handle the higher flow rate since most RO/DI out there are only around 150-300 GPD, or does the flow rate not matter when it comes to DI filters. Any advise will be helpful. Thanks

BRS has a good dual or single DI stage. Just add it on and give it a go.

I was looking at theirs but it still doesn't answer my question though.

Tapatalk cut off the rest of my post. I said that I'm not 100% sure but I don't think gpd matter for the DI stage. But at 720gpd you might need three. Lol. I'll let someone else chime in.

3?!?!?!?! Lol man!!! Makes me want to get a smaller to unit. Everything for this ro I have is freaking expensive.

Haha. That was an extreme overkill statement. Hopefully someone can answer your question more clearly.

I always thought the DI filter was like the RO membrane. I didn't know it was a filter media. Ill wait and see if I can get more opinions before I order it.

If you could't verify that it would work with you ro system online then I would call one of our water filter sponsors and ask them. Just to be safe.

I emailed brs last night to ask them if their dual stage would work or not.
