I can make about 100 gallons of water and it is time to change it out. Apparently this is too quick. What would cause it to go bad so quick?

CO2 disolved in the water will exhaust DI resin very quickly. Most surface sourced water shouldn't have much CO2, but deep well water can.

+1

Landon I had a purewaterclub unit for the longest and it would go through DI super quick. I broke down and purchased a new RODI from bulk reef and it seems to last a whole lot longer.

I order from TN Aquatics. Here's a link to the resin...

I do not. Goes from sediment -> carbon -> resin. You think another carbon would help? Was a Robins the other day and he hadn't changed his in many months and the color of the resins had barely changed . Made me realize that I'm missin something here.

This is example only: I live in sandy springs, make on average 30 gal a week, have had my brs 4 stage for 11 months, and I have changed carbon and sediment once. My DI color changing resin is about 15% brown and reading zero tds.

Exactly!!

How many stages do you have? Mine's a 5 stage RODI, but when I got it, it was plumbed wrong and was doing something similar. After I fixed it, it's barely moved in nearly a year.

I use a 10 micron sediment>5 micron sediment>carbon>RO>resin(s).

Pictures of the plumbing perhaps?

When was the last time you changed your membrane? I always go through resin quick when my membrane needs replacing.

Edit: I guess due to the high TDS coming into the resin.

Alrighty, think we figured it out! Thanks all! Ever over look something sooooooooooo simple? Well, it happened to me...

Why you gotta make me call myself out!?! Ha. Gotta replace the membrane........ Got it used a long while back (as in two years ago) and never thought to change the membrane out. Surely that is what it is. Alright, now point and laugh....
