Argh...

So I was doing a 4 day blackout w/very limited flow to work on the geledium issue in my tank. Today was day 4. I uncovered to find my diamond goby on top of my glass covering the tank, crisp as a crouton.

The only way he could have gotten there would be through the egg-crate I have at the front of the glass, or the tiny tiny opening in the back corner where the power cords come through.

I thought the egg-crate would suffice, but I was wrong. Oh well, perhaps the bluespot that I wanted will show up one of these days.

I am sorry to hear this. My first one I ever got did the same thing. I have since upgraded to the clear mesh top from Dave (Acroholic) and didn't have a problem after that. Just some food for thought for your future purchases.

I had the clear mesh waiting for the blackout to finish. I just made the mesh top to replace the glass & eggcrate. Oh well, live & learn. I just hate to lose stuff to my own stupidity and negligence.

Blue spotted jaws are horrific jumpers. Make sure you have a tight tight tight net on the top.

And, Im certainly not pointing fingers are you, or anyone else in specific, but I wonder when aquarists are going to learn that eggcrate WILL NOT WORK. I have gotten into retarded arguments with people who insist that their sixline is "really big", and "couldnt" make it out through eggcrate.
