diatom bloom

My girls tank had a overheating issue and we decided the black sand in her tank needed to go with no skimmed and not enough water changes the water was pretty narly so i went ahead and cleaned the tank changed the sand added new water put liverock back in seeded the tank with some sand from my other tank for good measures.. i've got a pretty blanket of diatom across the entire sand bed and the glass of the tank. What is goal ng to be most effective measure to get past this stage cleanup crew?
