Ok guys I'm been having a diatoms problem all over my sand, glass even on top of my koralias my tank is been running for 2 year's know my water test is the following:
0 phosphates
0.5 nitrates
440 calcium
8 alk
8.1 ph

Lights 3 250 watts 5 hour's a day
3 all blue panorama for accents 11 hour's
6 koralias 1050

I need help

Didn't use playsand by chance did you?

No I purchased live sand

Are you sure it's not dinoflagellates?

How can you tell the difference?

Diatoms feed of of excess silicates. I doubt that's the problem 2 years later.

Yes everytime I do a water change I vaccium all my sand real good.

I seem to get this outbreak after every W/C when I vacuum my sand also.

Following to hear what some the more knowledgeable guys say

Its very bad people has tell me the is maybe my light's I'm swiching my bulbs on Friday also I yes did a water change move my koralias for better flow, and again I vaccum my sand only the top not to make a mess and I'm leaving my light's off for 48 hrs and i hope that work because is very frustrate.
