Today when my lights came on my digita was slimming real bad. The closest thing to it is the Zoas, pictured.
I blew off the white slim with a turkey baster, nothing is on it.

You can see the skeleton in pic left side of the colony against the rock, back side. Any ideas?
Thanks

Yep. Zoas are pretty toxic and defend their turf.

Try moving one or the other.

Here's a better pic, the Zoas are on the opposite side of where it's injured. There isn't anything close enough to touch it on the back where the bad spot is.
What else could cause this type of injury to an SPS?
It took out a nice branch on the back left side close to the rock, very strange.

Ha ha I was going to post on your thread about that. I've been feeding Rods for about 6 months at least twice a week, spot feeding coral. I'm also getting crazy good growth. I also use Red Sea energy.

Just wondering about this poor did you digitata

I've got Zoas getting very close to the base of several SPS. Am I'm in trouble?

Personally, I've said survival of the fittest but some people may not feel that way. Zoas can be very aggressive and depending on which ones would fight rather than run. The fighters generally win. This can even be true in a zoa vs zoa battle.
