Gary,
A bulb syringe or turkey baster would make a good spot applicator for the MA for your UV.

And to add to what Bill (Ichthyoid) posted above: use a fan to blow the fumes away from you, or be upwind from the fumes if there is a breeze outside when you work with this stuff. I caught a whiff of the fumes once and it burns.

BTW a whiff of the fumes won't kill you, nor would a diluted splash ingested as your lungs & stomach both have muriatic ions in them. However, it'll burn & make you cough =)
