Dipping a Gorgonian

Can Gorg's be dipped? If so in what, a typical iodine solution? What are the practices you have used or know about please, really need your advice. I am adding 2 species, Muricea elongata & Plexaura flexuosa, any help is appreciated!

I've read about 1 minute FW dips, never heard of iodine dipping gorgonians
