Man sorry to hear that. So far my DIY ATO has never failed me. By its very nature it is self cleaning every time I turn my lumps off.

this may help go to a gun shop or bass pro tell them you nead moisture absorbing beeds used to keep firearms rust free place the electronics in a ziploc bag with it and give it a day or 2 as long as your caps didnt blow it will work agine

Good advice. Uncooked rice sometimes works too but this would be better.

Sorry for your loss but thanks for this thread. I'm going to set a timer on my RKL for my ATO.

I run an Elos Osmocontroller and have been really happy with it. It was my first ATO so I don't really have anything to compare it with. I considered the Tunze but wanted to get something without any mechanical float. It has a little metal "plug" that heats up when the water level is down and triggers the pump. I've had to wipe it off once or twice in the past 2 years but that's about it. I am sorry to hear about your flood; I had a similar situation that almost drove me out of the hobby.
