Disaster strikes

How often should he do water changes at this point to save the coral and not let the water quality deteriorate due to all the mucous released? I had a similar situation happen but i ended up tossing all the coral instead of riding the storm out. If there is a chance to save, i wish you the best.

I brought it back up from 1.010 to 1.012 when I switched tanks and then to 1.015 before bed last night.

Thanks everybody. For the PMs, texts and support here. This is a great club.

Sorry if I didn't individually respond to everybody yet. It's been nonstop for me the past 2 days. Just want to work on building my new stand and look forward to my next tank once the dust settles. I'm giving LEDs a try on the new tank, no optics (shallow tank) and I'm looking forward to trying something new. I might even try an above water scape with a "closed loop" waterfall. Maybe. I've got some new corals waiting for pickup at a friend's. a nice plate, a dendro, a nice turbinaria, and I still have a few corals in my biocubes.

The fish didn't seem to take any hit whatsoever, which is good.

Barry, I appreciate you getting in touch with me to see what you can do. I'm glad to have a good person close by.

I'm not taking this so hard. I thought I was in denial over the scoly, but I guess I'm just ok with this. Can't go back and not do it! I'll tell you one thing, I'll never pump RO straight into the tank again!
