There are a lot of good shops in Atlanta, and everyone has a favorite. Do a search for a thread on this topic - it has been mentioned recently and everyone piped in with their opinions.
I went in with a few friends (a while ago) and rented our own private dive instructor, and we went to place in Alabama and got certified over a weekend -- was great, and not too expensive!
