DIY auto top off

Being that I am going to be getting another tank I needed another ato. I really didn't want to pay 70 plus for another one so I looked around the house and wound up having a little less than $10 in this one.

I'm a diesel mechanic and welder by trade I have accumulated weight a bit of parts over the past 25 years

This was just a cheap plastic electrical box about 2 bucks. I wanted to build it right but cheap.

This was a simple build. A cheap 6ft extension cord, 12v relay, 2 float switches, a switch, 12 v output wall wort, some wire and a box to put it in. Took about 20 min to wire. I deviated from the basic relay wiring to be able to light the light in the switch when ever the pump turns on. The manual switch is to be able to turn it off during maintenance. The 12v wall wort I took apart and wired into connections inside the box so I only had 1 thing to plug in.

Thanks. Only thing that's left is making the bracket to hold the float switches. I'm going to wait until I get the tank in place with the all in one system running so I can make it to the correct length. Guess I could slot it and make it adjustable. Hmm
