Do I need to sterilize a “new-to-me” used aquarium?

I just brought home a Waterbox 20 cube. Came with a Waterbox stand. Love it. Should I sterilize this tank? What is the easiest method? No buildups at all. I did not see this tank in action, and am curious to ask before I add my sand and rock.

I would say that depends on how long it's been dry. Just to be safe some tap water with bleach sitting overnight should do the job easily. A rinse with tap water and a dechlorinator and it should be good.

I would just do citric acid and water

I agree citric acid and water. Some chemicals are not easily removed like Bleach which always leaves a film. Citric acid leaves no residue and rinces easily. But wear rubber gloves and eye protection

Had picked up the straight bleach, but went the citric acid route. Super easy. Also took the opportunity to clean my gear, clean all my pumps in main display, etc.
