My reef tank is now 5 months old. I have 2 clowns, 2 gobys and have a powder blue tang in the QT for another 2 weeks before moving to the main tank. I have heard mixed discussions on wrasse and read some are good for a reef tank and some are bad. I was drawn to the colors, size and benefit of the McCloskey but wanted to get a straight answer from a fellow club member.

Thanks,
Art

I've had them and they are awesome fish. Super colorful. They are peaceful other than the males to other flasher males even of different species. Great color and movement. I love seeing them actually flash. It's such a treat.

i have the mcosker wrasse in my tank. absolutely one of the most beautiful fish i have.

This is great info. Will keep an eye out for a male or maybe a male and female. Did you purchase at a LFS?

Yes I did. I was lucky because most of the time you get sub-adult for $30-50. I was able to nab a adult for $30 I was to say...sub-adult/juvenile just takes time to mature. Mine is a male
