It started out small and looks like a skin tag. It has probably doubled in size over the last two weeks or so. Looks like some sort of wart or something like that. No other fish are attacking him and he is swinmming around like nothing is wrong. Is there?

Not sure about the big wart. But looks like ich. He may have damaged hiself by flashing against rocks. Get metro from lfs and feed it with the food for a week and see if that helps. I also add focus also. Works good for most fish illnesses

Nevermind the spots. It was debris floating from when I was taking the pic. It does look like ich though, haha!

If so check out this page: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/disease.html">http://www.chucksaddiction.com/disease.html</a>

See if it looks like anything on there.

It looks like Lymphocystis to me. Rather large - bigger that I've seen... but that would be my semi-edumacated guess.

If so, it's viral - like warts on people. Usually brought on by stress. Is this fish a relatively new addition? Any other fish picking on it or otherwise stressing it?

Usually goes away on its own when the stress decreases - either from remedying a problem, or as the fish becomes more relaxed it its environment.

It's hard to see whether it's the photo, or the fish, but are its eyes cloudy? If so that indicates (possibly) another problem - flukes/trematodes. If it's just the photo and its eyes are clear - don't worry about that.

As for the Lymphocystis, we usually just leave it alone and it will go away. Keep an eye on it for sure, and watch the fish as it interacts in the tank.

Sounds about right JennM. Thanks for the info. I guess because the visual signs are late signs of the virus I really don't need to QT. He is not getting picked on and I have had him for about a month. Doesn't appear to be stressed. When my daughter isn't a good listener and puts her fingers on the glass he may turn camo but its very rare. Ill keep an eye on it to see if it spreads. Thanks again
